Hackathon Vietnam 2014 is a contest for young Vietnamese engineers and scientists organized by Formation 8 in collaboration with FIRST Project, 5DESIRE, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) and Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM). This year's event took place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The objective of the competition is to discover talents in the information technology sector and provide them with opportunities to meet and reach out to global corporations and investors, especially those in the Silicon Valley.
